A while back the good folks restoring the ex CNJ 113 were looking for a CNJ whistle-did they ever find one?

Any news on the Vulcan side-rodder that was near the Wikes BArre ex-CNJ station that was taken to RMDI in Pittston for some TLC?

We never found a CNJ three chime step top whistle that was available. We know of one in existence but it is unavailable at this time. Current plans are to replicate one and I just finished drawings of the bell which will be sent to the pattern maker. The bowl possibly could come from someone who already makes them or from one of our own available whistles.

I don't know a thing about the Vulcan switcher.

A little work has been done on the Vulcan. I am currently working with the PR agency involved in publicizing the restoration. Photos should be forthcoming and will be on the web by the end of next week. Fundraising efforts are going to be kicked into high gear. This will enable the project to move forward at a faster clip. Thanks go to Mr. Delavan of RMDI for a lot of the things he has done for the project out of his own pocket including moving the engine and storage in his shop.

Glad to know that when 113 runs, it'll provide the sound of a CNJ engine.

Superheater,

I deliberately added that retired CHS for you as a while back you asked the question if I was a CHS teacher. I tried contacting you using the buttons but somehow my computer wouldn't make the connection. I am going to give you my email address by pushing your email button here. If you don't get anything, let me know over this forum.

I didn't know if you rec'd the question. It appeared to stay in my outbox forever. You might like to know that another former CHS MRR club member was still interested in trains and a couple of years ago was actually starting a small museum in White Haven, near the old roundhouse.

I'll look for your communiation.

Superheater--

Did my message make it through or did the gods of email block it somehow?
