 Post subject: I am confused. Is the 3028 project been put on hold?

Everyone,

With the lengthy thread about the Mexican 4-8-4 below, the question was never answered as to why she is sitting outside and not being worked on.

Maybe someone from New Hope can explain the situation. I remember that there was a web site and a volunteer base for this engine a couple of years ago.

What happened? Lack of funding, lack of volunteers, lack of interest?

Just curious.

The question was answered. The 3028 has been moved out of the shop to make room for our parlor car 1403. It has had almost 90% of the exterior metal replaced. Its having the windows replaced among other things. The equipment that makes the money comes first.

Eric,

Does this mean that the engine will go back in when you are finished with the car?
Are there still volunteers coming to work on it?
