Thanks for the update Clem. I see the tender is not back on it's wheels yet, was there a problem, or just couldn't arrange the heavy lift? I think this will be the ultimate engine under steam when finished, pretty much the Zenith of the builder's art.

The tender is awaiting Mr. Jack Messer's crew to put it back on its trucks. He has been a HUGE help to use and our efforts in the restoration of the 2926.

Any surprises when the boiler was opened up? Certainly from the pictures, the inside looks good, don't see much if any evidence of "necking" on the stays, and corrosion appears light. How do the preliminary D-meter readings look..Anything surprised you as of yet?
