Although it's hard to tell from this photo, I think that the 2089 may have been one of the 4-6-2's that the IC put smaller drivers on. Thus turning them into freight hogs. They did the same thing with some of their Atlantics. Too bad some of these low drivered ex-passenger engines didn't survive. They would have made good tourist road locomotives.

Yes, there were several other 4-6-2s pictured on that page, one running for the IC still in 1957. Interesting engines, as were other Paducah rebuilds like 2-10-0s, 0-8-2s and others. I think some of the 2-8-2s were originally of Harriman design, like those on UP and SP, but changed in appearance as they were rebuilt.
