The life of NKP#54 will soon be over. This wood ACF coach was built for the Nickel Plate Railroad in 1905. The weather and the vandals have taken its toll over the years. It needs ALLOT of work but cars in worse shape have been restored. We do not have a building or the resources to save this car. It is FREE to any person or group. We will do what ever we can to assist in loading the car. We will even entertain any offer to help save the car at our location.
Our board has decided that it is slated for demolition VERY SOON. It has been moved by our State Route 18 station in Wellington, Ohio for better access. If we scrap the car, the trucks, draft gear, truss rods, etc. will be FOR SALE. I can keep the scrapper away for a couple of months, so if you are interested in the preservation of this unique car please contact me as soon as possible.
