The Carroll Park and Western locomotive now at the Pine Creek RR (NJMT) was originally from the Jeddo-Highland Coal Company, as their #117 with Vulcan construction number 3512. It is 48 inch gauge. It was moved to Allaire during the fall of 2000 along with both its matching coach and combine. They were moved all at the same time from a location south of Toms River NJ where they had sat for many years.

CP&W also had two Newfoundland coaches which they had regaugedfrom 42 to 48 inch gauge. One coach went to NJMT in 1967 or so, the second one in the late 1970s.

On the Huntsville, Ontario operation:

Boy, that turntable looks tricky!

They have two air lines. Are they operating air signals?

Did not the Pinafore operation start with actual open streetcar bodies?

Yes, but they may have been 3rd hand Atlantic City, N.J. bodies from Huntsville, and now back at Huntsville. Some pre-1958 photos at Huntsville show the trolley rope catcher socket still on the dash.

The world's longest railroad tunnel has 42" gage track, as it is the national track gage of Japan. (they call it 1067mm)Max speed on those lines is 130-160 kph (80-100 mph). Electrification is 1500VDC or 20kv AC.

The bullet train, is standard gage 56.5" 1435.1mm. Electrification is 25kVAC.
