Supposedly modified with an Americanized front end, anyone got any photos of this engine as it looked in Africa? Also, builders info? And, what is the gauge here?

Now THAT's what they need in Colorado! Imagine that engine climbing Cumbres!! Nice!

Slightly-shrunk Super-Power on the Rio Grande narrow gage; what a concept.

Looks to be in Queensland, which shares a 42 inch gauge with South Africa. In SA, it would have had a screw type smokebox door and a high headlight.

Believe the biggest narrow gaugers were the meter gauge Yellowstones (2-8-8-4's) and Texas's (2-10-4's) used in Brazil.

She sort of looks like one of the original NS 2-8-4s that fell into a hot clothes dryer and she shrank before they could get her out. She sure is a handsome little thing.
