Looks like a Toronto Peter Witt from Halton County Radial Railway.

It appears that the car in the trailer is TTC "Peter Witt" 2766, which is still owned by TTC and is run occasionally on charters and demonstration trips. This particular car was built in 1923 by Canadian Car & Foundry and was most recently rebuilt about five years ago, when TTC tore her down to the frame and did a full restoration.

As the guy who helps TTC look after 2766, and who was present durng the Kitt Kitteridge shoot, I can confirm that Frank is correct.

The car is indeed TTC Small Peter Witt, #2766 which is still owned by the TTC. The HCRR supports operation of the car with parts and technical assistance.

The last tiime HCRR Witts 2424 and 2894 were in Toonto was a few years ago for the filming of Ron Howard's, "Cinderella Man". 2766 was used in that shoot as well. Most of the wonderful sequences ended up on the cutting room floor, but hey, the museum gained substantial income from the project.

2766, which received a major body overhaul in 2002 is used a few times per year for special events. The only usage this year was during the annual Beaches Easter Parade on Queen St. East. The car is stored indoors at Hillcrest (Harvey Shop) which is currently isolated from the rest of the system due to track renewal on the upper end of Bathurst St.

A movie critic in her review of the film states that the story line takes place in Cincinnati, OH. That would make the trolley scenes historically inaccurate since Cincinnati streetcars operated on a twin wire system not the traditional single pole demonstrated by the Toronto Peter Witt.

But, hey, the general public won't be aware of this nuance.
