Can anyone let us tractioneers know what the car is/was? Was it a shed at the timeor awaiting transport to a museum?

The Western Railway Museum is only 60 miles away. Our more experienced folks would know, but I can say I don't believe we were expecting it or pursuing it.

Grass fires are a constant concern for us, as they burned down most of the poles on our railroad before we acquired it, and many ties as well, and still threaten our older carbarns.

The carbody the burned was a Key System 900 series. There are several of them in this area.
