I've got a worse one. Railroad Magazine about 1960 had a fireman's side photo of one of those Southern lumber railroad's steam locomotives. Horror of Horrors, the young lady tallowpot was Negro! I brought that into school for our History class on the Civil War, and the good Sister agreed that the founders of the Klu Klux Klan were probably rolling over in their graves. We had already learned about racial discrimination, but not yet about gender discrimination.
