Hi,

I am trying to spearhead a project to restore an old C&S wooden caboose. I was wondering if anyone would know where I could find some blueprints or design sketches to help me with the rebuild.

d,

I would contact the Colorado RR Museum to see what they might have available - info@ColoradoRAILROADMuseum.org.

What C&S caboose are you planning to rehab?

Roger

I believe it's old number was 10593. I work for the Heber Valley Railroad and this caboose came to us with G&W locomotive 75. I just wanted to help and decided to spearhead the caboose project. Here is a picture.

This caboose was in service until a couple years ago and then was taken out due to rotten end sills. In the mean time someone came and removed the old paint with a metal grinder leaving scars and so it will be reskined as well. I hope that is all, but who knows what we will find when we start getting into it.
