Probably early 1930s. Now at its fourth post-retirement site, IRM at Union, Illinois.

This class is on my top five when the Lotto ticket hits. I was thinking that 3007 is the one perched at the Galesburg depot but I must have my wires crossed. Hope to see one of this class with fires hot before I depart the planet.

3006 is the one in Galesburg. The IRM acquired 3007 back around 1995 or 96, before that she was in Atlantic, Iowa as part of the "Purple Martin Train". Initially there was talk of the IRM restoring her to steam, I'm sure they would probably still consider it if somebody walked in there with a big fat check to fund the restoration.
