Last night while working in my shop one of those random questions popped into my head, and now I can't get it off my mind. When the Southern Pacific changed signal types from semaphores to searchlights, did they change the entire signal, including the base, mast, and head, or just the signal head? With your help, maybee I'll sleep tonight... (unless I'm too busy internally debating the merits of Steamtown...)
