Description says Originally built circa 1929 for lumber company in Louisiana, gauge 56.5, coal, cyl 14 x12 BP 180, DD:33, TE:10,900, EW 84,000, WOD 84,000, Number 1589. Location: Andalusia, Alabama.

Has a b&w photo...looks like it is restorable, and not that bad from the outside. On weedy track with headlight not mounted and looks as if it hasn't operated in a couple of decades.
Hope that helps.

Just kidding. My warped sense of humor. The ad reps for my newspaper sit way too close to my desk and I hear them swapping ideas all the time.

This is the Heisler that used to be at Dry Gulch Junction near Wytheville, VA. It was sold there around 1980 at auction for $15,000.00. I was there and saw it bid off. It was fired up the day of the sale, and had a very obvious ASME stamp on the backhead.

Anyone know where the auction will be and what time? I'm interested in looking on if possible. Maybe I can trade my 1996 Impala SS for the 614...

Old news. It has been listed for sale by Barnhardt about a year.

Auction is held at Barnhardt's in Mt. Pleasant, N.C. 12:00-3pm. The items will not be there however. They just might take your car in trade. NC is NASCAR country isn't it?

Post subject: Don't Forget the PRR Wooden Day Coach
PostPosted: Tue Feb 19, 2002 11:54 pm

I noticed in the Barnhardt catalogue that a former Pennsylvania RR class PK wooden day coach will also be going up to auction. Evidently it was deaccessioned from the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. Does anyone know when this car was built and how it ended up in Dearborn, Michigan? Just curious!

Is this really THE #614, or a mock up built for the Pasta Warehouse restaurant chain? Do you have to dissasmble it to get it out of the NJT shops? Can I trade a crate of glow sticks for it?

Wasn't 2100 originally listed at $600,000 or something like that?
