Flimsies/Mack locomotive item, confusing

This sentence from the newspaper article doesn't make sense.

"McHugh's father hauled the Mack locomotive off the museum's property in 1971 when it went bankrupt and stored it on his property until 1986, when Rockhill Trolley Museum transferred ownership of the locomotive to Wanamaker, Kempton & Southern."

Who or what went bankrupt? Not RTY, EBT, or WK&S.

It would certainly appear that those aren't the original trucks? From the photos they appear to be a set of freight car trucks. (No wonder the locos didn't sell well, no traction motors! ;) )

Anyone know what the original trucks looked like? Also, I'm guessing they're no longer in existence? The rest of the loco looks to be restored very nicely, more like what you'd expect of a vintage truck than a locomotive.

You will find a photo of the earlier trucks and also a paragraph about what happened to the trucks. Both #4 and #3 lost their trucks; but, one pair is under a restored streetcar.

I find this news very encouraging. I always thought that this loco, along with H&BT 38, would be excellent additions to the RRMofPA. This one would tell the story of a little known loco manufacturer in PA. At least now it is saved and maybe one day when the McHughs are done with it, it can be donated to the Museum. Does anyone know if the RRMofPA has any loco's from one or more of the smaller manufacturs (Brookville, Mack, etc)?

They have a narrow gauge Brookville, former Vulcan shop switcher as well as a Plymouth among the internal combustion pieces. Expanding to small steam builders Porter, Heisler and Climax are all represented.
Kudos to the McHughs. I saw the Mack at EBT yesterday and from the outside it looks really good.
