Recently-revived 4-6-2, possibly on the short-lived Phoenixville & Eastern?

If you look at the top of the tender you can see G.M.N. that mean this is a very rare photo, because it was right when the G.M.O. took over the GM&N. way before it went to any short line railroad.

Most probably shot at Marshallton Engine house on the Wilmington & Western, circa 1980 or so. Look at the aux. tender behind hers. C&O T-215. Then, the B&O caboose, lettered W&W. The aux. tender was usually used behind the tank locomotives, #37 & #3, that operated on the W&W. Not sure if it still is there.

This is a video for when 425 was on the Valley Forge Scenic Railroad September 1969
It was filmed by the Late Howarold Clevenstine of Spring City,PA.
It was copied off the master video tape.

Yes, that is 100% the 425 post-Valley Forge Scenic RR during it's residence at the W&W. Neat shot, even though it is NOT on the GM&O.

That shot was taken in the Marshallton yard at W&W. The photographer was standing on the #1 or "junk track" and the 425 was sitting on the #2 or "bank track". I would agree with the earlier post that it was taken around 1980. Those were the days.

Maybe it won't work out. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best adventure ever.
