Pop Quiz: Why does 475 pull forward up the hill, and then back down right back to where it started? (I know the answer)

I like the moment when 31 stops adjacent to 475. Must have been some blue language exchanged then!

I see a grader parked in the "cornfield corridor". Is there some development planned?

Spring Switch isn't the point. What IS the point is that it seems as if someone missed a meet order. If that's the way the Strasburg does things these days.

"Kelli" -

Tell your brother "Len" that his pitiful internet disguise is already waning as he attempts to direct more views to his YouTube account, and especially, this particular video which had already been removed once.

It's clear from your language that you're trying to infer some purposeful malicious wrong doing occurred when a mistake was made and immediately corrected by the crews involved (these same crews you so happily described by their names in the original posting of your video.)

Train handling in small quarters like those in which Strasburg operates create unique operational challenges. You're attempting to mine a mountain out of a mole hill and by doing so represent an irresponsible, thick headed contingency of agitator that jeopardize things others work their lives to preserve.

Stay off the internet, Len. You'll shoot your eye out, kid.

Nat, word of wise,
Stop while you think your a head. Kelli isn't my sister, for one big reason, I don't have any. that girl is real!
And I was ask to re-edited my video by A strasburg employee, and then I repost it.
I wasn't going to post a link over here on RYPN, because I didn't think it was needed.
I don't need to advertise my youtube account, there's plenty of people that already know about it, from around the world.

Len.

Although this is a free country it is kind of sad that this had to be posted on youtube. Not only does it make Strasburg look bad it is bad PR for all tourists railroads. It is amazing what some will do just to get a few views and comments. Some things are meant to be kept to yourself.

I just find it amazing how fellow railroaders in the steam preservation community comment on the video asking it be taken down out of respect for crew and railroad and Len just tells them they should give him respect. I kind of find it interesting that he posts on a preservation forum when he is willing at the same time to post videos that themselves could make preservation more difficult for all of us. While we can all see that the "near miss" was not as bad as it may sound, it never the less could in fact trickle down to the rest of us. I don't believe that it will, but out of knowing current events I am surprised that somebody who posts here would upload a video such as that. Len, just wondering, (besides being a member of the friends of the RRMPA) what do you do for the preservation community?

P.S. I apologize for errors at 12:00am, I'm a bit tired mentally after doing college work.

Len Shaner's antics of multiple accounts portraying to be other persons than himself is well known to some of us. He has been banned from several forums on the Internet. I personally do not appreciate his multiple personality postings and believe this video and the one of the Blue Mountain and Reading mistakes are not something a person using good judgement would post to the Internet.

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that doctors can do wonders with, Len please consider getting some help.

My 2 cents,
Mike Tillger

OH MY GOSH! I have read this board on and off for years looking for restoration info, but have never posted anything. When I ask what seeemed to be a logical question you all end up in some testosterone fueled debate over who is who, but not one person tried to answer my question!

First off, I just checked the mirror and I seem to be real! Secondly, I will be deleting my original post as it was not my intent to cause trouble.

Please try to be gentlemen in the future.

Simple answer: someone forgot about their orders to meet a train. Whoop-de-doo. Not exactly a first for any railroad that runs lots of trains. Speeds were slow enough that they didn't even come close. No one got hurt and no paint was exchanged, so all ended well.

I know railroaders are supposed to be falwless (myself included), but we do make mistakes....

PS.> can we stop with the youtube pimping? Starting to look like railfan.net in here. Ugh.

Hey Mike is that the reason you were fired from R&N?

At least we got a Jean Shepherd gem out of this mess. Len has been thrown off two more sites recently so now he has "graced" us with his extra time.

Perhaps we could convince him to take up boating?

Your question does not merit answering. Anyone with half a brain could figure that out simply from watching the video.

Lastly, I doubt I will ever ask a question here again.

Don't let the door hit you on your way out.

How's that for being a pain in the a**?
