Thought you folks down South might enjoy seeing the oft-remarked Morris County Central 385 is back to looking like a proper Southern Lady, courtesy the Whippany Railway Museum:

I have a better idea:

Trade her to Spencer for "Southern 604", unless NCTM feels compelled to retain an "expendable" loco for operation..........

I second Sandy's proposal!!

The 385 was a Spencer-based engine and served on the SR's Yadkin Railway for years.

It seems "right" but there are a lot of folks here in NJ who are emotionally attached to that ol' gal. We'll see...

She looks GREAT back in black.
I prefer the green but in this case as long as she LOOKS good for the moment that is all that matters.
But wait? What's that HUGE gaping area on the fireman's side? Isn't that where the air compressor used to be?
I heard that went to the CNJ 113.
How are things progressing with that engine?
Will she steam up and run in '09?
