Over on the altamont board, it has been reported that the V&T has been shut down for failure to bring their engines into complience with the new regs.

Anybody out west know whats going on? It was indicated in some of the posts that they were financially unable to do the tear down and testing needed. I had thought that their 2-8-0 had been under overhaul some years ago. I would hate to think that some engines had just gotten new tubes, form 4s, ect, and then had to do it all over again to meet the new regs( even though it has happened)
