Found this rcent photo of the present status of White Pass & Yukon 2-8-0 No. 69. It's reportedly undergoing cosmetic restoration at Ft. Lupton, Colorado, for eventual shipment back to its home in Skagway, Alaska.

We have this engine on video(live) in 1988 as we shot it on the way home from a 3985 trip...just a tad size difference. Link below will take anyone interested to "American Steam - Vol 1" which has the 69, 1361, 587, and more. A railfan friend talked me into shooting this, and it was not real exciting! Still it was live steam.

I has been some time since this post. The video is not available. And Greg Scholl told me that their video was not in the best condition. Is there anyone that has a fresh copy? I'm being patient till it shows up on ebay but not likely on Greg Scholl's site store.
