Tedd, I had the good fortune of being at the museum yesterday for a volunteer open house. Part of the open house involved a tour of the museum and a trolley ride. Inside the restoration shop were Pittsburgh Railways low floor 4398 and the Rio open car 1758 were being worked on. I heard the 1758 will (hopefully) be operable by sometime next year.

In addition, the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum has 3 infrastructure projects planned for this year. These are:

Installation of solar panels on the roof of our large carbarn and connecting these to our East substation and the power grid.

Installition of sprinklers in our original carbarn and shop/visitors center building.

Construction of an addition to our original carbarn to house a classroom/meeting room and additional restrooms, including shower/restrooms for volunteers. This will replace and supplement our original restrooms, which are inadequate and in poor condition.
