Kevin,

I would be interested in seeing the seats for which you are getting pricing.

Unfortunately, as far as I know there will not be interest from the SAM Shortline due to budgetary constraints. I headed the renovation project for the SAMUEL HAWKINS/BAY BISCAYNE until recently, and the management has said there are no funds for any more work on the car. For the time being, it has been taken out of the consist.

Although the BAY BISCAYNE tavern section was done, it took too long for any lounge seating to be found and purchased, and then some significant mechanical repairs had to be made that ate up what budget may have been available for repro seating in the last year. Now, with significant funding cuts being endured, I don't hold out much hope for acquisition of any repro seats, much less the 20 or so I hoped we could get.

While I'm still researching the fabrication of new seats, here are a few originals I came across on Ebay & Craigslist:

This is the design that I am getting quoted for fabrication.

Please let us know. Currently I have one lounge chair reupholstered and 9 frames. If the price makes sense I would rather have new ones.

Yes, that is the basic design of the seating I was trying to locate for the BAY BISCAYNE. Please keep posting here as you get additional info. Maybe some money could be found, depending on the cost per seat.
