The November 9, 2009, photo freight to benefit John Helmstetter is almost sold out. A very nice article appeared in the Cumberland newspaper on Saturday and it has spurred interest:

If you want to ride this trip, it is recommended you order tickets sooner rather than later. John Helmstetter will be on the train as the guest of honor. There will be over a dozen photo runbys using a 10-car freight train during the day.

The Helmstetter family reports that John has been deeply moved by the support from the railfan community. It has really made a difference in helping John cope with the loss of his friend Teddie (the border collie), his farm animals and his barn. A big thank you goes out to all who have contributed.
