Not on the Clover Leaf side, but probably on the Wheeling side.

Anyone out there remember that the Pere Marquette also ran east through Southern Ontario to Buffalo, NY? I would assume it to be pretty common knowledge that the Nickel Plate's eastern terminus was Buffalo and that Berkshires were frequently seen there. I have no idea what the PM would have used to power trains running through Canada to Buffalo. I don't know that the two railroads directly interchanged with each other (perhaps indirectly via the NYC), however they did at least share the same city as an eastern terminus!

ATK -

Nice thought. But the PM 1200's never ran on their Canadian line. In fact, the ONLY 2-8-4's that ever ran in Canada were the two owned by the Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo.

Hi guys,

I just checked my digitized NKP Berk photos (1433 or thereabouts) and don't have
any of Berks in Toledo. That doesn't mean much, but there are loads of weight
restrictions in the timetables for Toledo, which looks to be the haunt of
B-11's, G-9's and H-5's.

Your best bet for finding a NKP and PM Berk next to each other would be at
Thomaston, IN, MP 463 on the Chicago Division. Both the NKP and PM main lines
crossed there and there was a (mostly unused) interchange track. Good luck
finding pre-1952 photos of that town though.

Ray Breyer

I have a pic of the South Water Street freight house and both the C&O and NKP names are on it.

Let's say they were left as separate entities as B&O, C&O, and WM were for a few years (or decades) afterwords...

NKP #765 & PM #1225 Double Header Pan

In this photo, you can see three holes in the firebox wall on 765. I don't (from memory) remember seeing these in 765's prior life, don't see them on 1225 and don't recall seeing them recently when I got a close look at the C&O Berk at the B&O museum. I'm assuming these are for drafting purposes, but are they new?
