The Colfax Railroad Museum is restoring Omaha Route RPO #301. It was shop built in Hudson WI and was converted to a house in Altoona WI in the 1930's. We need some help locating pictures and/or drawings for color scheme and lettering. We also need 4 sets of sockets for the mail arms. We have the mail catcher arm, but it came without the door hardware. We set the car back on bolsters and wheels in May and just about finished residing before the cold hit last week. I've attached an October view for those that are interested. And yes, it was that shade of yellow. We found enough examples to verify. We just didn't have enough trim left to verify where the green was. I'll post another picture after I get back in town Christmas wek to show all the windows in on this view and the other door opened where the far left modern window shows in the view.

Sometime next summer after we repair the hack job that took out 6" on the ends of each roof(but only on the outside). We've gotten very good at moving cars with missing parts. Our NP coach #950 had 10' sections cut out of the middle on each side. Here's a picture with the new belt rail, widows and letterboard repairs whher ethey cut up 2" and adding 2" under each window. You can see by the roofing where the new wall was rebuilt.

Here's the car after the new windows went in Christmas week. The doors are built but are awaiting refurbishment of the hangers and new runners inside. The queenposts arrived two days after this shot and our local sawmill is making the new beams to replace those that were chopped when it was converted to a house. We hope to install handrails, grabirons, steps, drawbars and underbody parts in the spring. Working in the snow is rough at 20 degrees.
