This came through on my Flickr feed

This is an older photo and steamlocomotive.info has her listed as scrapped. I am very fond of these little switchers. There are quite a few still kicking around in Bosnia.

The ones in the 62.0xx number range are the original USATC locomotives; they were built by Vulcan Iron Works and H.K. Porter.

A bunch of "clones" were also built by Duro Dakovic Industrija Lokomotiva of Yugoslavia. They number in the 62.1xx range and up. And yes, there are quite a few still left in Bosnia and Serbia; some were still at work for local industries at least until a few years ago.

Edit: Here is one of the Yugoslav built examples:

I thought 62.031 was under restoration/repair. It would be a shame if it was scrapped.

I did not know about the numbering sequence. Thanks for the information. With China having so much real working steam the pockets left, places like Bosnia, Paraguay, and in Africa are often neglected in steam news. I was thinking about a Bosnia trip a couple of years ago but ended up in China when there was a messy anti-American demonstration at our embassy.
