Can any one identify this old diesel prime mover from the 1930's?

Note what appears to be a maker's plate on it.

If the rectangular blocks on the bulkhead on the right are what I think they are (windows), this was probably taken inside of a doodlebug (forerunner to the RDC's). Now, what kind of a doodlebug remains to be seen. Who built these back then? McKeen, Brill??, EMC (or is this a bit too early for them??)

I would agree that the engineroom interior says a doodlebug/gas electric, note the sliding door track to the right.

The engine is a straight eight cylinder, perhaps a Cooper Bessemer? From the size of the cooling water header (well it looks like it might be) against the rear wall, I would suspect it's a diesel vs gas/distillate plant. I would guess that the large tank to the right with sight glass (the white tube) is part of the lube oil system, or for the steam generator if so equipped.

How about a Winton 201-A. The 600 HP version of this is a straight-8. That opens the possibility of a Zephyr, Flying Yankee or one of those two baggage-power cars for the SAL.
