Hi All

I am interested to know if anyone has dealt with any equipment transfers across state lines where the equipment had a local historical designation in the municipality it resided in before the move. I am specifically interested in any legal hurtles that were crossed.

Hello Robby,

Have you asked the municipality's preservation officer about it? For better or for worse, unless it's a building, historic designation usually have much enforceability on something mobile like a piece of historic rail equipment.

Also, your state's office of historic preservation can tell you more.

Good luck.

Hi Kevin,

The plan is to call several people I was just hopping someone had crossed the road before.
Thanks,

Robby
