Thanks for the comments. To clarify some questions, there will not be any shays from Cass there.

As for the dates, they were already chosen for my company before we took the contract. We informed them that it was the same weekend as the convention, but due to local schedules with the railroad, city, operator, etc... this was the only option.

We feel that it will do just fine that weekend. We have taken reservations from West coast people that are going to the convention and coming down on Sunday to ride the 734. They were very greatful that they could do both. We have taken over 500 orders in the first 5 days of ticket sales. The night photo tickets are well on their way to selling out early as are the all-day and dinner trains.

Hope this clears up some questions,

At this rate, maybe a bunch of people can chip in and charter a bus from our final destination of Port Clinton Saturday evening and share a ride down to WV. In all seriousness I'm glad to hear some people are finding ways to make both events.
