Does anyone out there know what the status of this newly rebuilt 2-6-0 is? Last I heard, it was in storage awaiting sale following the defunct aborted passenger operation in New Orleans. Has it been sold? What is the asking price? Is Tarantula remotely interested? (Since it was rebuilt on their property?)

1744 is reported to be going to Orlando & Mount Dora RR.

Seriously doubt Grapevine is interested as they would have to cough up some "real" bucks for this kind of acquisition.
