Maybe it won't work out. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best adventure ever.

The paint 112 is currently wearing is her third (and last) LV paintscheme, applied by the LV in 1970 or 1971..

It is the only LV locomotive still wearing LV paint, from the actual LV days.

(two other LV locos are wearing their LV schemes today, but they are REpainted schemes..applied after wearing Conrail and D&H blue during the 80's and 90's)

Scott,

Your older email went dead. How are things with the F-30D flat car?

It just occurred to me that 112 &113 are sequential numbers...someday,perhaps they could meet.. yeah, I know, different roads/steam-diesel, etc....

It probably still has the original paint scheme, as well as the subsequent repaints, under this final LV scheme.

Some pretty nice stuff is in Ringoes now, between there steamer and all these deisels. Congrats on the engine Scott! I look forward to reports on here, she looks like a nice engine!

Will we be seeing this on the BRW Passanger trains when it is running? Would make a nice charter, with all your other cars.

Anthony

112 Will be used from time to time on the regular passenger trains when operational. There are some relatively minor mechanical items that need to be repaired before we can try to fire her up.

As discussed in my comments on the “Grafton & Upton scraps another Alco” thread, this is not a cheap operation to move a non-complying loco with friction trucks. After two years of work 700 miles from home it is nice to have the loco right around the corner!

Although, the loco made about a 950 mile journey on NS to get here.

Here's a photo that Scott forwarded of the 112 doing some recent freight car switching at the BR&W. The old girl sure does look good!

Here's another attempt. I'm having a bit of trouble getting photos within RyPN's size limits. My apologies.
