Tradition suggests that tomorrow (April 1) will find the list inundated with a variety of creative posts. In fact, this year, we have seen our first posting a little before 7:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time...

Some might be fictional….. Some may have a hint of truth hidden by humor. So may be close enough to truth to hurt.

Enjoy the day, and the very creative thinking found on the board. Try not to take anything personally, or too seriously.

Tomorrow we can return to discussions of park locomotives, rivets, faded paint and all those things which so excite us on a regular basis.

Your friendly moderators.

Oh, you're no fun anymore.

Johns Hopkins, err John Hopkins today, also got in on the fun. They told folks tehy were dropping the "s" from "Johns". They did a real nice job of it too, including some faked photos. So much so that newspapers and TV stations were calling them, thinking it was real!

Kudos to all of this years participants! This is without a doubt the most fun day in cyberspace. Great work, everyone. Now if that whole 202 thread would have been posted today, it would have been perfect.

In solidarity, other universities were also dropping letters from their names. The Henry Ford Museum dropped a whole word! http://www.hfmgv.org/

Considering the quality of this year's 4/1 messages, I suggest that in future years there should be an April 2nd poll to see which is the favorite 4/1 message!
