The Railroading Heritage of Midwest America & Friends of the 261 had parts of their passsenger car fleet on display in both Minneapolis and Chicago, ran a round trip excursion between those two cities behind Amtrak's Empire Builder, and bought a steam locomotive. :-)

The Friends of the Stewartstown Railroad held an open house at the train station in Stewartstown, PA on National Train Day. We had several dozen visitors, all of whom expressed their support for the groups' efforts.

The Northwestern Pacific Railroad Historical Society moved its recently donated 1860's vintage coach to our work yard in Petaluma, CA.

1860's? Are you sure - looks like maybe 20 years later based on very similar carbodies I have worked on.
