A nice collection of Maine equipment there. I find the B&M wood RPO body and the complete BAR wood RPO of special interest. It would be nice if this equipment and a restored MEC 470 could be joined, perhaps on MEC track at the Downeast Scenic? Now how to make it happen.

You are looking at 5 acres, 20+ pieces of rolling stock, a restored depot and a connection to somewhat live rail for $375k and $1k a year in taxes.

And it is in one of the nicest areas is these here United States.

Nice for scenery. As demonstrated by MEC 470, the equipment here, and (in the past) Steamtown USA, not so good for rolling stock and rail equipment. (I suspect Seashore Trolley Museum may be another example, but I have no personal knowledge thereof.)

Does anyone have a roster of the freight cars here?

I've been to all of the above. They either have car barns, sheds, or the luxury of enough paying tourist traffic to stay ahead of the paint bills.

I was also at Steamtown at Bellows Falls in the 1980s. Ditto the Lamoille Valley. Want me to pull out the photos?

As for the beer scene, I'm wearing a Narrow Gauge Brewing Co. long-sleeve t-shirt as I type this. Not exactly helping your case, mate (said brewpub closed a while back, after I got to visit it thankfully)...........

This winter, the snowboard was toasty warm inside the house for the most part, until March, when trips to Vermont became mandatory due to the epic late season snow.

As for beer from the northeast, Pennichuck Brewing (New Hampshire) is a current favorite. Alagash (Maine) remains world-class and tops of my New England list - to put a railroad spin on it - the Woodstock Inn (NH) is still a very good brewpub serving up the treats in a former B&M station.

Our friends at the Vermont Railway got approval to run beer and wine tasting trains on a regular basis, which is a great opportunity to get us flatlanders to sample the local sauce.

One of the fluted cars, the PS-built one, is ex MEC. The other in the pic looks like a Budd. Not sure of heritage.

So whatever happened to with this place?

The City Point Railroad Museum in Belfast Maine was reposted for sale recently, on Railswap.
I believe the price is now about half of what was requested beforehand, and half of the cars are gone or not included in the sale.
$187,500 for 10 cars and 4.6 acres.

If they seriously want a buyer they really need to include a lot of details and photos. It would be a shame to see it all get cut up because of a lack of details.
