In the afternoon, I rode the Mass. Bay Railroad Enthusiasts (MBRRE) Charter. The train did run-bys at a couple of locations south of Thomaston.

As someone who grew up just a few miles north of Thomaston back in the 60s and 70s, the only traffic that I ever witnessed on the old Naugatuck Line was an occasional local freight pulled by an RS-3. I never thought I'd ever see the day when a steamer would operate on those same rails. The visit of Flagg Coal 75 was a really cool event for me. Thanks so much to the RMNE folks for hosting it!
