I just came across this new site called Criticalpast http://www.criticalpast.com/ and wow!

I of course did a quick search for railroad and one of the first gems that came up was this video: http://www.criticalpast.com/video/65675073413_railroad-building_casting_driving-wheels_prepare-molds_locomotive-test-plant_test-run which shows what appears to be Juniata building locomotives. They even show a new T1 under construction and then being run on the dyno.

Looks like a lot of other goodies are on there, but I didn't have time to look at any more yet.

Sorry if this is old info to some, but I did a search on this interchange forum and didn't see anything about it, so hopefully I'm sharing something new with you folks.

I was trying to visualize how the compressors worked. Now I know. Cool piece of machinery.

Wow- great find. Here's an interesting one I found there- demonstration of a coal-fired British Sentinel steam truck in Bluefield, WV:

They could probably sell some of these things in WV now if they still made them.
