Bring back PCC's original wheels as developed by Clarence Herschfeld and Emil Piron?

Dallas MATA's newest old car (Peter Witt ex-DR&T No. 754) has resilient wheels thanks to Penn Machine. Look forward to not hearing them in service. Tread brakes too, but not too much heat due to primarily dynamic braking.

It doesn't look like the track in question is in pavement, or in a public place; why don't they just put a flange greaser on it?

Fire could be a reason.

Flange greasers probably wouldn't be as effective as returning to the original wheels; that would solve the problem once and for all and cost less in the long run than quick non-fixes like flange greasers, spraying water, sound curtains, etc.
