I caught this switcher in a CNR freight passing through Brampton, Ontario for Mac Yard yesterday, and since it looks quite old-timey, I was wondering if anyone recognizes it. This is a screen shot from a video I took.

Looks like and EMD SW9 with a rebuilt low profile cab. Could be a former steel mill engine or mine switcher--definitely industrial.

No. That screen shot was the least blury segment in my clip and I don't see any markings of any sort on the cab either. Possibly worth noting is that the cab has thick white diagonal stips alternating with thin orange stripes on the sides.

I think I found your answer Joe. Ex-Stelco Steel unit. I have no idea where it is going....

Might be going to LTEX in McDonald, OH which is where all the other Stelco units went.

I doubt it if it was in Brampton heading east to MacMillan Yard. It's in the opposite direction.
