Extremely impressive. First class. Does my memory serve me right...this is the table from the WM roundhouse in Hagerstown, MD?

This could be considered the Ohio "Phoenix" roundhouse. Only a few short years ago, the mighty Crestline fell, albeit very large.

There is something to be said for the facilities along with the train, to create a period feel to the experience. We were visiting the Strasburg this weekend, when you ride inside the Marion, you take at the station, platform, J Tower, PRR position light, etc. it does give you a sense of going back in time....for a short time.....too short.

AOS is setting the stage for the potential to host a pretty impressive event and is located closer to the midwest....better for visitors.

Once the roundhouse gets, "settled in" with its occupants...it will get the smell. I will not forget the smell, of the working roundhouse at Scranton when we took a tour of it....oil, coal, grease, dirty heavy machinery.....absolutely wonderful.

Checked AOS's turntable length versus the B&LE 643's length and it would fit quite nicely at 105 ft.....hmmmm.........maybe they would offer a good stall rental rate?

Amazing, yes. They are actually using wooden pegs. Unless you have helped raised a large barn you may not have an appeciation for what you are seeing here. Those beams are much bigger than they look. These folks are fortunate, they have cranes, most of the time, we used push poles, ropes and very many people.

More roundhouses may be built but possibly not like this.
