Does anyone have or know where to obtain a copy of the March 1954 issue of Locomotive Newsletter, put out by I.W. Saunders, which is supposed to have an all time roster for this line?

The Book "From Coal to Glory, the History of the H&BTM RR & Coal Co., Vol II" by Jon D. Baughaman and Ron L Morgan has the entire roster of steam from 1855 up to the last one (#38) built in 1927.

I believe there were two addition volumes to this book planned, I do not know if they ever came out.

The list is quite extensive to post on here.

I have been sent one roster, possibly from that book, but it has nothing about engine #6, which was believed to have been converted into an inspection engine in 1902 according to press references. Can you let me know what the book says about this engine, which may well have been renumbered to #6.

Regarding the Coal to Glory series on the H&BTM, Baughman and Morgan only ever completed Volumes 1 and 2. They did plan to write volumes three and four, but work has continually been pushed back as both men have work on other projects. Jon, in particular, has done a very well-received history of the Bedford Springs Resort and is gearing up for a second volume.

In place of two final volumes on the H&BT, a single, third volume is planned. This book will incorporate at least one additional writer. However, the timeframe is still indefinite.
