Les, Tom, and members of the forum...

Here are a few photographs taken of the ex T&P station in Marshall Texas ( the T&P 400 is adjacent to the station )... This depot is split between two mainlines.... I believe this depot was built in 1911 to serve the T&P lines to Texarkana and Louisiana .. and also serve the large Ginocchio Hotel and the newly constructed T&P shops in Marshall... The pedestrian tunnel to the depot was added in 1940....

Besides being a beautiful well maintained structure, it's proximity to the mainlines going in different directions, makes two of the three sides of the depot have platforms for passenger loading....

Thought many of the members who have not been to Marshall would find current pictures of the T&P 400, and the Marshall depot interesting

Note that all the stair nosings in the pedestrian tunnel show the T&P identity ... A UP CA-9 sits next to the T&P 400...

Hope some on the forum finding the T&P history in Marshall interesting.

Dean, Thanks much for the photos. I wondered how the passengers crossed the
other main line on the otherside of the depot. Parking lot was across the
street. Thanks for the information. The T&P had class to install the nosings
on the stairs with the T&P emblem. Very nice.

You can get a look at the station from further back in this Google street view. The context helped me to understand that the station was inside a wye.
