We were busy smoothing off and cleaning up the roof panels on the car today, sealing them with a really good brushable silicone ready for painting. What was plainly visible were the mounting bolt holes for ladders and holes for the roof walks installed in the bunk car conversion of 1926. I have attached some photos showing these positions, it would be great to see an artists rendition of how the car looked in its latter days.

Mike -

What are you using to seal the roof? CP 29 will need the same TLC when we remove the rolled roofing material from its MOW days.

Depending on how the car was equipped, you may also find mounting and vent holes for hanging lamps and Pintsch gas equipment roof mounted.
