The main generator in the ATSF M.177 at Travel Town is a General Electric DT-513 Main Generator coupled to a General Electric TE-507-B Excitor. We've completely re-wound both generator and exciter but are still trying to figure out the brush rigging and placement for them, in particular for the exciter.

Does anyone know of any other application where this generator and/or exciter were used, railroad or otherwise? Does anyone know where one might be preserved?

Anyone have any more detailed drawings and or pictures of the internals of them?
