Last year the ARHS and RDG Tech groups had these plates authentically reproduced. These were made from original Baldwin and EMD drawings and are made from the identical material as the original (304 polished stainless).
The ARHS needs to make a couple more this Spring so we are offering to make others for anyone else interested. For $100.00 we can make these plates with any two or three digit number. They will be finish cut to overall size and all openings including the screw holes will be cut. They will be bent as shown in the photos. They will be NOT be painted and the plastic lenses are not included. We can offer tips and suggestions for these items if you want. For an extra fee we can also supply the vinyl masking for the numbers if you desire.
When completely assembled and painted these are 100% like the originals - not something close. The Reading FP7's and DL&W F3 #664 at Steamtown wear these plates - you can easily find photos of these locomotives at several online photo sites
