Eyewitnesses have reported that this locomotive is now "Boston & Maine" #250, with the name "Casey Jones" above the number on the engineers side of the cab. The lettering is reported to be some sort of dry-transfer, and not actually paint. The loco is otherwise in black paint.

Authenticity - I love it.
This reminds me of the AHM GG-1 models marketed in the 70's with "Chattanooga Choo-Choo" written on the sides!

Ahh, this poor locomotive. Ever since the Wolfeborough stopped steaming her, she has been a forlorn orphan. For a spell she was a minuatre golf course backdrop in Lincoln, NH... and then she sat banished in Concord. Finally, she's received some attention at Edaville.

Sure, I'd love to see her running somewhere... or restored as BH&S #250, but...

She had been for sale for many, many years. And, I am sure with good reason, she did not sell.

So, can I be overly critical that she is B&M "Casey Jones?"

No.

Nobody else stepped forward during the many, many years she was available, so how is it that criticism can be lobbied towards the people who have chose to care for her today?

If if she were painted blue with a face on front, at least she is on display and still with us.

Now, I would bet anyone with a good plan and some money could change her current fate, but is this current fate that bad given where she has been? Or where she could be?
