The steel company crew at Birdsboro looks like they were a little hard on their former Reading 0-4-0, which is now at Strasburg:

Strasburg and Cass Scenic in 1967; again, it is fascinating to see not only the changes on the railroads themselves, but in the world around them, including the old station at Cass and a 1957 Chevy in front of this station that was not a restored antique, but just an in-service 10-year old car. . .

I agree, it is nice to see vintage footage like this, but what was wrong with the treatment 4 (or 1187) received at Birdsboro? I watched the clip three times, and saw nothing wrong with the operation. No safety violations, no slipping or sliding, and speeds seemed reasonable for the track conditions. Or was kicking the mill gon what brought on that particular comment? Kicking cars happens all the time-
