I'm intrigued that 1109 had Allis Chalmers electrial equipment. I knew AC was a minor player in the trolley and interurban market, but never knew they made a leap to the diesel market.

When did EMD switch to their own equipment? The only other piece of preserved equipment I know of that has A/C equipment is the Purdue Test car at the Museum of Transportation. It has GE motors, WH controllers and AC air brake equipment, including compressor.

Many of the relays and contactors carry A-C labels. The traction motors and main generator are pure EMC.
