From a post on trainorders from a year ago or so that I just discovered.......

Picture and location description of a car painted in the KCS Southern belle scheme in Fresno, CA. Only problem is, don't know of any KCS car like that, that's missing....or that exists.

Car has enough windows that it looks like a streamlined high capacity commuter coach. If there's a name or number on it, it would be covered by the graffiti on the lower bottom of the car in the middle.

Wish I could post the picture here. All I can give you is a location description:

Fresno: In an industrial area, west of BNSF Calwa yard, north of Jensen Avenue, south of Church Avenue, east of Sunland Avenue. Posters said car has been inside that industrial complex for years. Anyone have any idea what car this really is or who owns it?

Could you link the trainorders thread?

Greg, just right click on the picture on Trainorders. Save it to your hard drive. Then post it here. Easy!

At one time the Reader Railroad had some cars with paint schemes that resembled KCS. Perhaps your mystery car is one of those.

He said it looked like a high-capacity coach. Maybe an Osgood Bradley? I know KCS bought a handful.

The majority of streamlined coaches (28) owned by KCS were indeed Pullman. Twelve were ACF and four were Osgood Bradley.

The car in question is not an Osgood Bradley car and I don't believe it came from the Reader.

I can't identify this particular car.
