Therefore, if we came back and showed them that PRR A5s 0-4-0 94 Is fit to run and could be certified for only a $200 inspection, a $200 form processing fee, and a $400 tender-load of coal and water, only a few diehard PRR fans would care. Oh, and a few more diehard photo charter fans as well, and they would be the one raising that money.

I would be one of them raising the money for that!! :)

Me to!

I love PRR heritage locomotives as much as the next guy. However, there is already an operational PRR switcher. Why would anyone need another one operational?

Okay, that's two of you; your share of the actual (estimated on the back of an envelope here) costs of this proposed rebuild is $400,000.

Certified check or money order, please.

If you can scrape up a thousand friends each, you could bring it down to $400 each......

What?? What are you looking at me like THAT for? This was YOUR idea!

Or, you could see how much cab-riding time $400 buys you on PRR B8 0-6-0 643 at Williams Grove this Labor Day weekend.....

How about sending some of your guys down here to Virginia. We could use a couple of operable steam engines.
