I *think* that U&MV combine was owned by CLPX/Boulder Scientific/John Birmingham at one time. I know the cars Mark is talking about at Queen Anne were. It's scary actually, but he may have had the largest private collection of this junk. I thought he was nuts when he bought the cars out of Rhode Island years ago. I knew he was nuts when he bought the "Bunker Hill". I'm surprised most of it made it out to Orrville. I think we had to get the lumber yard in RI to "band" the sides on several of those cars to keep the fluting from coming off in transit.

Man talk about flashbacks....

On a different note, wasn't there an Osgood Bradley coach at SERM/New Georgia RR at one time? I think it was either a CofGA or SAL car?

And while not the typical O-B cars the 1958 P-S coach shells that Southern ordered were built at the O-B plant I believe. Had to be pretty close to the last ones you'd think.

Using the RYPN search function, I was able to find this old thread and continue it with the following new information:

Springfield Terminal 902 is an American Flyer coach, with a bit of fire damage, perhaps having some parts value. Is the location of it and the shops East Deerfield, MA?

That Flickr page is entitled "Iron Horse Park," which I believe is the old B&M Billerica shops in Massachusetts.

RPO abandoned on the Belfast and Moosehead Lake in 2003, Thorndike, ME

That's not an Osgood-Bradley car. Looks like it might be ex-RDG?

No, that has to be one of the RPO versions of the Osgood Bradley cars. There were some built. Here's a picture of one:

Looks like there may have been modifications over the years, as the photo is a builder's photo I found.

Alright, that's an exact copy. I don't know why some of the reading passenger equipment looks so similar to the O-B lightweights.

This looks very D&H to me. I heard there was a D&H baggage car on the B&ML years ago. But couldn't find any info. Anyone know if the car is still there?

The B&ML car has the same type of roof vents and you can see where the small windows in the baggage section have been plated over. Both cars have the rain gutter over the baggage door, too.

I recall seeing an American Flyer baggage car via the web, located somewhere in the New York area (presumably in work train service) in the 1990s.

It might have MEC number. But I think this is a BAR car.

This car was originally on the B&A, then went to the MEC/GRS for work train and wreck service. The interior was gutted and had beds and kitchen etc installed. The wrecker's boom was pushed through the roof on one end in a blind yard move, hence the roof hole.
We'd love to have an ambitious, capable person take this car under his/her wing. We have allocated some money towards its restoration, but don't have the help.

If you have too. Hire a local painter to stop the rust, and improve the looks of the car. Besure to complete the BAR lettering. The roof and windows come first!

No. There is no "hypothetical other people." There is no "hire somebody" unless you're willing to take YOUR wage and turn it into someone else's. (which isn't very efficient, as you might notice.) All this talk is just the sound of NOT DOING IT and NOT CARING. Seems like there's a lot of groups with that "problem" lately, and somebody needs to call them on their bull.

If you want it painted, YOU PAINT IT. Otherwise don't sit there and say you want it painted, because you don't really.

One of the things that I'm going to be doing with the Depot Foundation (East Brookfield) is coordinating a youth group of sorts. Maybe one of the first things that the group can get done is a protective coat of paint. I stress maybe, as it's still in the planning phase, and it will take a few months before the group gets started.
